Today Pan and I hung around the factory to learn more about the different production processes and what goes into making the different kinds of products. I find it very interesting to see how things work and everything that goes into a simple can of sliced pineapple.
During lunch we snuck away to the hundred year market to do a little shopping. The market is so named because it has a very old fashioned feel to it and it is found in an old section of town with the small buildings that form its frame built in the tradition of a typical Thai village. The market has become a huge tourist destination but only on weekends. On weekdays like today it was nearly vacant which was perfect for an afternoon of meandering from shop to shop looking for nothing in particular other than to soak in the rich culture.
